Eve, 11 years old, is in the maintenance phase for acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Eve is athletic and energetic. In fact, she's very athletic: she competed in skiing and practiced mountain biking before her diagnosis. One of the young skier's idols is Olympian Valérie Grenier (Canadian alpine skier), but she admires her aunt "Gege" just as much, who "worked really hard" to get back on her mountain bike after a serious injury.

This young girl, who would love to exclaim loudly, "F*&@ you cancer!"—"but you can't say that!"—hesitates when asked what she wants to be when she grows up: a teacher or a doctor... "to help other people who have gone through the same thing as me."
