Edgar, 11 years old, undergoing treatment for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

For some time, Edgar, a passionate BMX enthusiast, had not been feeling well. Persistent aches and pains, combined with an unusual lack of energy, quickly raised concerns for his parents, Véronique and Xavier. Last May, they consulted a doctor and, following a series of tests, received the diagnosis: B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Edgar was quickly referred to the team at the Charles-Bruneau Cancer Centre at CHU Sainte-Justine, where he began his treatment protocol. Thanks to the expertise and dedication of his medical team, he has access to the most advanced treatments made possible through ongoing research.
