Aurélia, 8 years old, is undergoing treatment for a neuroglial tumor at the crossing of her optic nerves.

Like Garfield the cat, Aurélia loves lasagna, but she wouldn't say no to some good lobster either. Her biggest dream would be to no longer have a tumor... and to have a cute sloth as a pet!

Her mom had this to say to the cyclists of the 2025 Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau: "Thank you for riding for children with cancer. Thanks to a new biopsy technique—which was recent at the time of Aurélia's diagnosis—doctors were able to find a tumor mutation that was compatible with an ongoing research project, a project in which Aurélia was accepted. If my daughter is alive today, it's thanks to the targeted therapy she is testing. If this research project hadn't existed, Aurélia would have only had a few months to live with a poor quality of life.

Thank you for giving us 'time' and a quality of life for Aurélia by raising money for the children. There should be a cure for every child; research must continue. Unfortunately, I've seen too many little fighters pass away in the last 6 years... Thank you for advancing research!"
