Jonathan Durand took part in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau for the first time in 2019. Since 2020, he has been the proud representative of Lowe’s Canada on the Tour Steering Committee, and captain of his own team. Let’s meet this dedicated and caring man.

“I want to make sure that I am the right ambassador for the Tour and for the Charles-Bruneau Foundation within my company,” explains Jonathan regarding his new role. “I want to be there to motivate the team so that everyone reaches their fundraising goal and that we lead the best fundraising campaign possible for the cause! Lowe’s Canada has been a major partner of the Foundation and the Tour for many years, and has been involved in many other causes and provided support to the community. We know we can make a difference.”

When asked why he wanted to get involved with the Tour, Jonathan’s words are filled with empathy for the people who were not as lucky. “I unfortunately have close friends who have been affected by paediatric cancer. Seeing the support they have received through the Charles-Bruneau Foundation and other children’s foundations, I know that we can make a difference. It’s my own way of giving back to the society, and to be grateful for having a healthy daughter and being healthy myself. ”

Jonathan had a word to motivate people to take part in the Tour and to generously encourage those who do: “The satisfaction and joy of being part of something great and making a difference to children and families is just wonderful. Taking the time to think about how we can support the cause in the middle of our busy lives helps us find a meaning. When we give, we receive just as much! Personally, I grow as a person after each volunteer action I undertake.”
