The Fondation Charles-Bruneau presents the 28th edition of its Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau in 2024. This event raises cash proceeds in support of the Fondation Charles Bruneau, whose mission is to give Quebec children with cancer the best chances of recovery by financing research and projects in the area of pediatric oncology. In the past 27 years, the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau has raised more than $40 million in proceeds, thus giving renewed hope to a great many Quebec families.
Efforts that count
By participating in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, you can contribute directly towards offering a healthy future to the 2,000 Quebec children who are diagnosed with cancer each year. Rest assured that your efforts make an enormous difference: since 1980, the rate of recovery for the most common type of pediatric cancer has increased from 35% to about 85%. These promising advances serve to guide researchers towards two objectives: curing the 20% of children whose cancer is resistant to treatment, and improving the quality of life of children in remission by giving them access to a true cure, with no after-effects or complications — a reality too seldom seen, unfortunately.
