Profile and story
Emma-Ève, 7, in remission from acute lymphocytic leukemia
On July 26, 2021, Emma-Ève’s life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. Just two and a half years old at the time, she began a complex medical journey.
Throughout her treatment, Emma-Ève faced significant challenges, including a severe chemotherapy-induced neuropathy that caused her to lose the use of her legs. Through remarkable determination and perseverance, she eventually learned to walk again.
Now in remission, the seven-year-old from Saint-Pie only visits the hospital every four months for routine follow-up appointments.
A talented young artist, Emma-Ève loves drawing, gymnastics, dancing and swimming. Her greatest dream is to return to Disney World and fully enjoy the experience, as she was too weakened by treatment during her first visit.
Very close to her family, she has a special admiration for her mother. “She was always right by my side during my treatments, even with five children!” she says.
Moved by the commitment of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau community, her parents wanted to share this message: “We have been taking part in the Tour for four years now. Without these donations supporting research, our daughter would not have the same future ahead of her. Thank you so much for your support.”
