Profile and story
Anyone who knew her can attest to what a bright, generous and vibrant young girl Alexe was. At the age of 11, she was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a bone cancer. Despite the best efforts of her health care team, Alexe had several recurrences. She was a model of courage and optimism for all those who crossed her path. Alexe was a great communicator, she succeeded in mobilizing an entire community on the issue of pediatric cancers. She was also very involved with the Foundation and its various events. Sadly, Alexe passed away in 2021, but will always shine in our hearts. Thank you, Alexe, for your great generosity and for making such a difference.
