After covering more than 2,795 kilometers on 11 routes, the 28th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau concluded with the arrival of 700 cyclists in Boucherville. Smiles and hugs were the order of the day at the finish line, but especially when the final amount raised was announced. It is with great pride that the Foundation announces a total net amount of $3,525,000, reaching the objective set for this edition. Since its very first edition in 1996, the Tour has raised an impressive $50 million. A sum that aims to give all children with cancer a better chance of recovery.

This 28th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau brought together 1,100 participants, including cyclists who rode in person or from a distance, as well as supporters who raised funds without taking part in the sporting challenge. Over 200 volunteers also pitched in to make the event a success. Thanks to everyone's involvement and the generosity of precious donors, the Foundation is reaffirming its commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer in Quebec, by funding the development of numerous pediatric hemato-oncology research projects and exploiting to its full potential the complementary nature of Quebec's four university hospital centers.

Young Heroes: inspiring role models

For this 28th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, 60 children were paired with a cyclist, and young Heroes chose to get involved by representing one of the routes. The presence of these inspiring young people motivated the cyclists to pedal for the cause and take up the challenge. The Fondation Charles-Bruneau would like to thank these children and teenagers, and their families, for sharing their stories.

Partners as committed as ever to the cause

The Fondation Charles-Bruneau is proud to be able to count on partners who share the same values of solidarity and commitment embodied by the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. The involvement of its main partners - CIBC, IGA, RONA and Cascades - is essential to the event's success. The Foundation thanks them for supporting and promoting its mission through the mobilization and dedication of their teams.

"I am deeply proud and moved by the milestone we have reached this year. Since the very first Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, $50 million has been raised - what a wonderful collective achievement! I'd like to thank all the participants, volunteers and donors who were involved in this 28th edition and made it a success once again. Thank you for believing in our mission and for being there to continue improving the chances of recovery for children with cancer. It was a real pleasure to pedal this year alongside motivated and committed cyclists. See you next year!
