From the location of your choice, from July 2 to 8, 2022, take up a challenge alone or as a team for the benefit of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.

In addition to our in-person treks, it is now possible to become part of the Charles-Bruneau family by registering for the at a distance participation, which allows you to ride independently.

During the week of the Tour, join the 800 cyclists who will be riding towards a cancer-free future for children.

Registration fees and equipment

$80 - includes Tour Jersey, socks and water bottle ($100 equipment value, non-refundable)

Minimum fundraising

By registering for at the distance participation, you commit to raising a minimum of $500 before July 8, 2022. The Charles-Bruneau Foundation team is there to help you reach your goal by offering you the tools and resources you need to create an online fundraising campaign.

For all donations of $20 or more, your supporters will receive a charitable receipt for tax purposes.

Twinning of the heart

Each cyclist will be paired with a young person who will be featured on your personal page. You will receive a button with his or her image, so that he or she can accompany you during your challenge and will have the opportunity to meet him or her virtually, on the Foundation's social media, as well as during a meeting specific to the cyclist of the at a distance participation, before the event.

If you are riding for a specific child, you can request to be paired with that child.

The advantages of forming a team (4 cyclists and more) *

A sports activity to support the Charles-Bruneau Foundation and to create strong links within your organization.

Registering as a team allows you to:

  • Mobilize friends and colleagues towards a common goal;
  • Take on a challenge together for the cause of children with cancer;
  • Join your collections and highlight your involvement with the cause.
  • Put your company/team logo on the back of your jersey.
    The team must be confirmed (at least 4 cyclists) and your logo sent before February 28th.
  • Take advantage of personalized support for your team.
    We invite you to schedule a meeting with your manager at the Foundation. This will be an opportunity for your team members to ask questions, motivate the troops and maximize the impact of your involvement.

* It is also possible to register on an individual basis.

Team IGA Abitibi 2021: an example to follow!

In July 2021, Gilles Ferland, Jacques Morin and Michel Laverdure represented the IGA banner in Val-d'Or by registering for the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau at a distance. With their children, they took up a symbolic challenge by completing a distance of approximately 100 km by bike. They cycled from Amos to Val d'Or, making a stop along the way at the IGA in Malartic. The spouses also got involved and provided support on the road with vehicles. On their way, they had the opportunity to meet a local child who was diagnosed with cancer.

Testimonials

"Signing up for the at a distance ride added five cyclists to the team, not all of whom knew about the CBF. It shows that people in the region also support the Foundation and benefit from its treatments. Gilles Ferland

"I will be cycling from a distance in the Magdalen Islands on July 9. I will proudly wear the colours of the Tour!" - François Brochu

"I will cycle in Quebec City alone on some days and with my spouse on others. A bike ride every day during the week of the Tour is my personal challenge! - Josiane Moisan

"On July 9th, we will leave from the Saint-Jérôme train station at km 0 to go to Tremblant on the Petit Train du Nord trail, for a total of about 100 km. We will take pictures of the stations we pass along the way. We are looking forward to this challenge! - Patricia Gauthier
