Profile and story
A few days before his first birthday, Zachary was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. His family had just moved here from the U.S., so the young boy was treated in his new adopted hometown, at the Charles-Bruneau Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Unit at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval. March 25, 2024 was the day he rang his end-of-treatment bell with his entire medical team, extended family and even Santa Claus.
As you'll soon see, wheter it's summer or winter, Zachary loves everything to do with Christmas. He loves role-playing as well as hanging out in the park.
"Thank you for your commitment to the Fondation Charles-Bruneau, which makes a huge difference in the lives of children, like Zachary, and their families. Zachary is doing well today thanks to the good care he received at the Charles-Bruneau Unit of the CHUL in Quebec City and the advances in research over the past few years. Thank you so much!
- Marie, Zachary's mother
