Profile and story
On February 7th, 2018, on the 7th floor of the Children's Hospital, the doctors told Mia and her family that she had cancer on a gray, heavy winter day. That scary word of 6 letters was Hodgikin's Lymphoma. Mia's family then said that they had no other choice, but to give their best shot and put themselves in attack mode to begin the treatments. The quality of care they received in the unit allowed them to make good progress in this difficult ordeal. The activities, games, crafts, as well as patience, were all elements that made Mia happy to go to the hospital. Since June 2018, Mia has been in remission. Today, Mia is completing her third year. A very determined and go-getter by nature, Mia feels strong when she does cartwheels hence her interest in gymnastics. When she grows up, she wants to become a gymnast and pass on her talent to younger children.
